Hi Everyone! After reading all the books in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series (can't wait for the next book in May!), I became interested in the LitRPG genre. I read a bunch of series on Royal Road, then I decided that I should write one of my own.

So that's what I've been doing for the past few months. The story takes place about a century after a race of magic-capable beings, called the Valyr, conquered the modern world, destroying most of humanity, and subjugating the rest.

Esteban, a man filled with hate and desperate for revenge over what the conquerors had done to his family, is contacted by a dark being offering power. Despite not understanding what exactly he was getting himself into, he accepts.

The story is more focused on the narrative and less on the System mechanics. I wrote 40 pages of worldbuilding before I started the actual story, and I tried to make the System integrate into the world seamlessly, to give it a darker and more serious tone, and a less gamey feel. But it is still a LitRPG with a System Interface and stat progression.

I have 28 chapters written, and I just submitted the first 6 (plus an interlude, but those are bonus chapters). I will be submitting a chapter 3 times a week, on Mon/Wed/Friday. I will finish the first book of the novel regardless of readership, but it would be awesome if I do get some interest in the book, and it turns into a long series of books that conclude the entire story I have in mind. So if you have the time, please check it out!
