Just got my new Magnolia magazine. This is what fresh print marketing looks like. It's appropriate for the season, it's done in coordination with her partner (Target), and it makes sense.

I've been a Joanna Gaines fan for a long time. I like her personality, I love her work, so that makes me want to support her. She is authentic, genuine, works hard, and is successful, but she has put in the work. I've always said that Meghan is consistently trying to be a faux Joanna Gaines. After watching years of Joanna and Chip and their various shows and watching them turn their brand into an empire, I see how Meghan tries hard to mimic her asthetic, her hair, her clothing, her WORDS, etc. But with Meghan, it's so try-hard and it flops fantastically. I've been seeing how she is running ads on various Social Media sites advertising Thanksgiving!!! I realized she's fired everyone around her because the money just isn't flowing in anymore, but still, this stuff takes minutes to update.

It just makes you realize that she wants all of the glory, accolades, adoration, and wants people to see her as a CEO/Founder type of person when she hasn't done anything to deserve any of it. She moved into a house with landscaped gardens, lemon trees, raspberry bushes, etc. All of that stuff was on the grounds. She made a pot of jam. And tried to turn that into a business. But the flunky had no other ideas, so Netflix had to probably queue up vendors to show her in order to present to her what all they could offer. I'm sure they picked people who could make tea and other things and all she had to do was make very easy decisions like I want mint tea instead of Earl Grey. And then she scribbled her chicken scratch on a few labels and picked out packaging and she thought that was HARD WORK! It is laughable. There are women killing it on Etsy and Ebay who make things and sell them. Women who have been doing crafts for decades post their stuff on IG and Pinterest, only to have the sticky fingers duchass lift their work.

She only has the capacity to social climb, mimic, and steal. That's where she plateaus. She was given the biggest platform that you could ever receive and look where she is. A resume gets you the interview, but if you have no skills, that's where you get the door slammed in your face. And this is where Meghan is. Given opportunity after opportunity. Colossal flop of epic proportions.

Meghan, this is what REAL marketing with partners looks like
