What is up with the comments on this sub?

Honestly, I can’t understand why people get upset when others are honest. This is the internet. If you post your face and ask for opinions, you’re going to get them — good and bad. Judging progress without acknowledging genetics, structure, or overall appearance doesn’t make sense. Sometimes visible growth doesn’t mean it suits you. Not everything that grows is automatically “meant to be.”

And let’s be real — if someone’s beard looks patchy, unbalanced, or just doesn’t work for their face, people are allowed to say so. It’s not entitlement; it’s feedback. Pretending everything looks great just because someone put time into it isn’t helpful. Time invested doesn’t guarantee a good result.

If you share something publicly, you open the door to public opinion. Not every comment needs to be sugar-coated, and not every critique is an attack. Sometimes honesty — even blunt honesty — is more useful than blind encouragement.
