Hi! This is my first aquarium ever that I got for my birthday; it's a 25L kept at 28°C, minimum light for 6 hours a day and it's been cycling for a couple of weeks now. My anubia has some weird dark spots on the leaves and some plants are melting but it's normal since I put them in the tank 5 days ago (hopefully correctly...)

My original plan, which was suggested by the shop worker I bought the aquarium from, was: 2-3 amano shrimps, then wait 20 days, and then a blue or white-ish betta.

But I've also been entertaining the idea of making it a neocaridina (either cherry or crystal red) + smaller fishes tank, but I heard they're more fragile to pH and that gravel is not really a good pH stabilizer.

Thing is, I fell absolutely in love with two small (2cm) platinum german white guppies at another fish store... could I somehow manage to take care of em, or is the aquarium too small? I think I should probably put 4 or 5 males if I decide to put guppies, right?

I'm 100% willing to buy many more plants (suggestions?) if the main problem is vegetation. I was thinking of getting some Salvinia minima but I've heard that it doesn't do well in lidded tanks and mine drips unto the water surface when I open it so idk

Lastly I read that micro fishes such as dwarf rasboras (my local shop has around 6 I think... small as a thumb fingernail) or ember tetras could stay in a 6-8 group in a 25L. Is that possible? Are they okay for a beginner?

Thank you for all the suggestions, I deeply appreciate it. I'd really love for the two white guppies idea to be possible but I completely understand if it's a death sentence to them.

Oh, ps: I haven't got any snail friends from plants yet. Should I look into buying them or should I leave my tank snailness as they can get invasive and I don't have the heart to kill them?

Guppies and shrimps in a 25L?
