Here Comes THE BRIDE! In Cinemas Friday.
Are you scared? Well, you should be because Maggie Gyllenhall’s punk-rock passion project THE BRIDE!, starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale is coming to cinemas this Friday!
Check out the electrifying trailer!
So what’s THE BRIDE! About?
A monstrous rollercoaster ride….
A lonely “Frank” (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance! This is a bold and iconoclastic take on the beloved horror classic.
Maggie Gyllenhaal is so back!
See Gyllenhaal on set with Buckley and Bale.
THE BRIDE! is Maggie Gyllenhaal’s second film as writer-director, following 2021’s Oscar-nominated thriller The Lost Daughter, so you know a story like this is in good hands. The gothic crime-thriller may riff on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and James Whale’s Bride of Frankenstein, but the story is completely her own. She has put The Bride front and center of this audiovisual experience for the ages, and you’re doing yourself a disservice not seeing this in all of its Filmed-for-IMAX flory. Trust me.
What a star-studded cast and crew!
Joining Buckley, Bale, and Benning are Peter Sarsgaard, Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, and Oscar winner Penélope Cruz. And if seeing a cast like that on a dazzling chase around the gangster-ridden 30s doesn’t grab your attention, I don’t know what will! But the one thing I do know is that this will not be one to miss…
Everyone is screaming about THE BRIDE!
You know you’re in for a treat when “Daring” and “Original” are just some of the words being used to describe this wild ride!
So what are you waiting for? Experience the chaos soon.
