Turn bolt vs straight for amateur racing?

I’ve been casually racing masters biathlon for a few years and it’s probably time I get my own rifle (versus the club loaner). That said, the price of an Anschutz is hard to stomach for a middle-aged activity where the most we win are bragging rights.

I was looking at the CZ and Savage builds by Lost Nation, but I’m not excited about the turn bolt. Do others race (at this kind of level) with a turn bolt?

(My best race results are 1-1-0-2, so I have plenty to practice…)
