Demon Proxies?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking of dipping my toe into chaos for the first time and I’m pretty drawn to Chaos Knights.

The thing is, I have this vision in my head of using the new Red Corsair Raiders too - and possibly growing RCs into their own army.

Would the raiders feasibly work as a proxy for a suitable allied demon unit that can accompany the knights, without spoiling the flavour I have in my mind with actual demon models?

I am fairly new to playing the game and so I’m not overly concerned about tournament play at this stage.

Thanks!
