Bringing an Airsoft Replica from Japan to PH – Advice?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to visit Tokyo in December 2026, and I recently acquired an airsoft rifle in my area, although most of the stores in my area, including Vincent, are only selling the usual M4 variants of airsoft rifles. I want to acquire a unique airsoft rifle replica, which is more common in Japan.

I plan to acquire one in Tokyo, then bring it to the Philippines (Tokyo → Manila → CDO), and I want to make sure I do it correctly.

I was wondering if any of you have any experiences in:

Acquiring an airsoft replica rifle outside the Philippines and successfully bringing it back to the Philippines

Declaring the airsoft rifle in the airport (Japan and NAIA)

Dealing with customs in the Philippines

If any of you acquired any permits or documents beforehand

Taxes, etc.
