Boarding Schools West Coast

Okay-hear me out. I don’t really want to send my 13yo son to a boarding school. But his mom and I are divorced and she has final decision making. She’s pushing for some type of boarding school, and she has even suggested military school.

We had an extensive psych eval done for him, and I told her let’s wait for those results before we decide anything. At the very least, those results could help us determine what boarding school would be the best fit for him. I think there might be something more than the ADHD going on.

Since she could and likely will make the final call herself, I at least want to find the best possible school for him to go to. We live in Arizona, and I would prefer something on the west coast so that it’s easier to visit him as much as possible.

Anyone know of or have experience with boarding schools in the western US?
