Do you reshape your spike?

Newbie Q.

I superglue coated my spike initially - after months of missed spikes, my spike has flattened slightly.

Is it advisable to reshape the spike? Or, should I just leave it flatten and reapply a superglue coat?

I assume it only slightly affects the ability to spike having it slightly flatten?
