Kayak Shopping

My buddy is looking to buy a new kayak this year. We've been looking for somewhere in Georgia (Southeast USA) to "test drive" or try out the kayak before purchasing. There used to be a shop in Atlanta that had a pool, but they are no longer open. Suggestions?
