New York Botanical Garden - Stone Mill brides — indoor or outdoor dancing?

I’m getting married at the Stone Mill at NYBG the first week of June next year and would love to hear from anyone else planning (or who already had!) their wedding there.

Our ceremony will be at a church nearby, cocktail hour will be outdoors, and dinner will be indoors at the Stone Mill. I’m stuck trying to decide where to have dancing.

My main concern is that the ceiling in the dinner space is pretty low, so I’m worried it might feel tight once the dance floor opens. But I also don’t want guests to feel like they’re constantly moving in and out all night if we switch back outside for dancing.

For those who got married there, did you do dancing indoors or outdoors? Did it feel cramped inside? Was the transition outside smooth? Anything you’d do differently?
