Solo runs in Marathon are awful camp-fests

Literally every game I've played solo (over 30+ hours now) has been a camp fest. On Dire Marsh they sit on top of Algae and camp, everyone runs assassin shell and waits to backstab. It's so fucking boring in comparison to trios tbh and it makes me really sad :(

Since the TTK is sub 1 second you get obliterated with zero counter play - I hope this changes but this is the way of the game I suppose. What have your experiences with solos been?
