EB-2 NIW: Received empty "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation" email from Elgin Lockbox – Normal?
Hi everyone,
I’m seeking some clarity on the next steps after filing my EB-2 NIW (I-140), priority processing through Ellis Porter. My package was delivered to the Elgin Lockbox on 2/20.
On 2/24, I received an email from Do_Not_Reply_Lockbox@dhs.gov. The subject line says "USCIS Acceptance Confirmation," but the body of the email is completely empty.
Has anyone else experienced this?
- Does this count as my official notification, or should I expect a second email with the actual receipt number?
- How long after this "empty" email did it take for your check to be cashed or for the physical I-797C receipt to arrive in the mail?
Appreciate any insight into the current timelines at Elgin!
