Arena S15: A discussion, or why I didn't write a beginners guide

Howdy Toonsters-

You may have been wondering if I had disappeared, because there was no Season 15 Arena guide....well, no. I didn't but, I was disappointed with the game, and didn't make one. Let me explain:

I'm a fan of Arena. No secret there. I want more people experience Arena. No secret there either. When I first looked at the S15 roster, I knew right away that is wasn't going to be beginner friendly. There were only 11 easily obtainable toons, meaning that a new player will have had to get through a few events before even considering attempting Arena. I thought TPTB had learned from S13, but alas no.

I chatted a few folks on discord, who indicated that there would be an easier path this holiday season to make it easy to obtain toons, that would then fill out arena newbie rosters. Frankly, It's difficult to have to go through multiple weeks of a season acquiring 1 toon of a new team after another, to attempt to use it in Arena. It's discouraging. So I didn't write my usual guide.

Apologies to those who were looking forward to my insights. I will try to make sure I am back to writing for S16.

Till then: one observation is that current event exchanges have included teams that are part of the arena schedule...which is a plus I guess. Still, you need to complete those events, and make exchanges for toons that are part of Arena teams, which may or may not align with your overall gameplans. Food for thought.

Aside: How have things been in Arena for you this season? Are you using Aristos and Magic as much as I am?
