Rebonding - but Rabbits peeing on everything? is that a normal part of it?

I'm trying to repair a broken bond (after hospital stay) and while they're in separate side by side pens, I swapped their beds out yesterday.

My male rabbit (was the dominant bun before bond broke) peed all over the bed that had the other bun's scent on it.

Is this just a normal part of the bonding? or is he rejecting her scent and being territorial? and I should use caution when trying to move forward?

My next step was going to be making them switch pens with each other. I am hoping this won't lead to a pee soaked house then..

*both buns are adults same age, neutered/spayed, 1 male 1 female
