401k's definitely not a scam!

I can only speak to my recent experiences.

I have been contributing to mine for years now and thus was able to retire early two years ago. I have lived from the proceeds of my 401K, coupled with social security.

I withdrew no money until I turned 62.

Read up on compounding interest and realize how putting your money in a bank with almost no interest will get you nowhere.
