Did Justice League Dark actually have a galaxy-brain solution for Darkseid?
Okay hear me out.
Was having Darkseid and Trigon fight each other for all eternity actually kind of genius?
Instead of trying to beat either of them outright (which almost always ends in the multiverse getting cracked like an egg), the idea of just pitting two unstoppable cosmic tyrants against each other and letting them stalemate forever feels like the most practical solution anyone in DC has ever come up with.
You’re not killing Darkseid. You’re not purifying Trigon. You’re not sealing them in some prison that’s inevitably getting broken in 12 issues. You’re just redirecting two apocalyptic forces at each other and stepping back.
It’s basically weaponized mutual destruction.
Yeah, it’s morally messy. Yeah, it’s a “not our problem anymore” move. But when you’re dealing with entities who embody tyranny and demonic corruption on a multiversal scale is eternal combat between them actually the cleanest outcome available?
Or am I giving Justice League Dark too much credit here?
