PCN issued to my vehicle with one letter mistaken…

So I was issued a PCN…

Contravention:

62 - Parked with one or more wheels on or over a footpath or any part of a road other than a carriageway

When I tried to enter my reg to pay it wouldn’t come up until I realised they got one letter wrong

let’s say my reg is A100BBK it was issued to AL00BBK so It was a completely invalid reg on mot checker…

Stuck on weather I should appeal it on grounds it was a wrong reg as many have done.. but if I do that I have to type in the reg it was issued to so can’t they turn around and say oh sorry mate simple mistake even you could tell what reg it was so we will correct it for you here pay..

I’m not going to ignore it even though many say ignore because it can’t be traced back to me

But I’m just looking for advice to see if anyone has been in this position thank you
