Is there anyone who moved to USA from Kerala recently?

Is there anyone who moved to USA from Kerala recently ( specifically) ? Was the procedure hard? Was it for studies or work? How is the living conditions and cost of living? Are you able to make savings? Is it violent out there? Do you have regrets? What is the best way to move to US - studies or work?

Asking this here because I really wanted to move to US until like a few years ago. The recent political developments, racism, violence and increasingly difficult visa process make me think twice.
