Chime returned my $9k IRS refund deposit because my routing number changed… so I made a trap song about it 😭

So I was supposed to get my tax refund by direct deposit this year and Chime returned the deposit because my routing number had changed and I didn’t realize it. I didn’t get any email, message, or notification about the change at all.

I only figured it out after checking my transcript and seeing a CP53E notice saying my deposit failed, then I had to go update my banking info again.

Meanwhile I had already mentally spent the refund before it even hit 😂

The whole situation stressed me out so much I turned it into a trap song called Spent It Already.

Anybody else ever had a deposit fail because a bank changed routing numbers without telling you?
