Go now or go next year?

Advice

Hello everyone

Been lurking for a while but could use some advice.

I’ve always wanted to travel to Japan but between money and time it was always something in the far off future. For a few reasons I find myself in position where I could potentially take the entire family (48m, 42F, 13m, 11f. And maybe my mother in law😅) to Japan from late June to early July (15days).

Looking to do mostly golden route stuff since it’s our first time and we have no idea when or if we will be back.

I need to either plan this trip immediately since it’s semi last minute or I could potentially wait until next year and travel at roughly the same time of year. If I wait there’s only a 80% chance it will actually happen due to work issues.

So what do we think? Definitely. go now but have to plan it all quickly or put it off for a year so I have plenty of time to figure things out?

I’ve done about two weeks worth of serious research. Mostly I need to find accommodation for 4-5 and a ryokan w onsen for the same and that feels like it’s harder.

Any advice or tips is really really appreciated!
