Has anyone ever tried messaging a (pretty big) band to request a song on a setlist?

I acknowledge it's going to be entirely unlikely that they ever see it but I'll be getting tickets to see The Maine on the EU tour and I feel like Flowers On The Grave being played live might heal some childhood trauma in me (the song has meant a lot to me since it came out and I'm even going to get a tattoo based on it at some point). Does anyone think it might be worth sending a message on Instagram on the very very very unlikely chance they see it to tell them how much the song means to me and how much I'd appreciate getting to see it live?
