Gear finding help.

I'm on my first character ever, leveling on Legion, and I realized that most of my gear is from the low 20s in level. (I'm 39 currently) I've been questing a ton, looting everything, and I still just am not getting equipment. I'm a Beast Master, so as long as I have the pet stats and OK armor, I'm fine with that for now, but my DPS is REALLY starting to suffer, so are there more.. targeted ways to get equipment?
