On the Supplements Train Now

See below for background.

I'm typically skeptical of supplements. However, recently saw TikTok from pediatrician discussing Vitamin D supplements to aid with ADHD management. I never trust something in clock app so did some googling and the research is promising. Not a magic bullet but starting kiddo on it today and hoping the vitamin D and her med improves the hyperactivity further.

We're also trying melatonin starting today. Bedtime has been a nightmare the past two months. Kiddo gets super hyper right at bed time, has hard time settling down and we get restraint collapse. We've worked on sleep hygiene, routine but our past strategies seem to have stopped working.

Background: Child (8F, ADHD-C, suspected level 1 autism, anxiety) has been in meds since December. First medication quillichew was great but due to shortages switched to Focalin. Focalin was ineffective so switched to generic Concerta ER with afternoon booster. It's been better than the Focalin but not as effective as the quillichew.
