Locked out of Q6

Put my bag in the passenger seat, and closed it as I was about to put my son in his car seat in the back. As soon as I closed the door, car locked with my keys and phone inside my bag. Never happened before.

Is this a common issue? It was definitely a headache to deal with, but would have been an absolute nightmare if my son was already in the car seat and car locked before I got to the drivers seat.

Also, if I take my car to get checked out at the dealership, do I need to pay for a diagnostic? I feel like this is a safety issue and I shouldn’t have to pay for a service inspection?
