Help with Prenatal Insurance

Hi there! I feel like a fish out of water and could use a little guidance because I have no idea what I’m doing.

For reference, I’m 30 and located in Texas. This is my 3rd time being pregnant, but my first to carry to term (God-willing). I haven’t had any form of insurance since I’ve begun working, but I work a great job making 50+ hours a week at $19/hr.

I’m currently at 13 weeks and my estimated due date is September 5th. I’m worried because I want to start going to the doctor and begin discussing the health of the baby, birth plan, etc. but because I have no insurance, I haven’t seen anyone besides the free pregnancy center that confirmed my pregnancy and gave me my first limited sonogram.

I’m afraid that I make too much for Medicaid. I tried the Marketplace, but they said I didn’t qualify for Special Enrollment. I will most likely get rejected for private insurance due to my “pre-existing condition”.

Time is ticking, and I need to start getting checked out now. Help please?
