Laptop recommendations

I currently have a 2020 Macbook and I’m not loving it anymore. I might be returning to a job that uses an EHR that isn’t easily compatible with Mac, it’s really designed for windows. I find the computer slow at times and the keyboard sticks badly.

I’m in the market for a new computer but not sure where to do. I want something good for telehealth and for my college courses as I’m hoping to pursue teaching at a university too. I’ve looked at the surface pro but I’m not sure it’s worth the money. I like to work in bed occasionally but I am trying to break this habit and work from my desk or sometimes the couch. I travel frequently and the surface seems portable. What does everyone else use?
