Period in Ramadan

I’ve gotten baited by my period 4 days in a row. It stops and I fast then at the last minute I see it again. Ladies am I still in my cycle or is it more like old blood from cycle is still in my body and exiting? It isn’t fresh red anymore, more like a burgundy dark color which is why I am thinking old blood. Looking for some confirmation with other Muslim sisters and how you handle this. Do you still consider it period and don’t fast? Or do you just ignore it, do the purification shower and start fasting?
