I’m 24M from Mumbai (we recently had to move to Navi Mumbai after our home in a slum area was demolished by the government, and rent there became unaffordable). I come from a humble background my dad is a retired taxi driver, my mom is a homemaker, and I’m currently the sole earner in the family.

I’ve completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science. I had hoped to pursue a Master’s, but due to financial constraints, that wasn’t possible.

I discovered ERPNext about 2 years ago when I attended a Frappe event in Mumbai. If that event hadn’t happened near where I was living, I probably would have never known about ERPNext. That exposure changed my direction completely.

Since then, I’ve worked on an ERPNext-based project an easy-to-setup app built with Vue for schools and institutions. I’m comfortable building custom ERPNext apps, working with the Frappe framework, and setting up production servers (including deployments using Cloudflare Tunnel).

Despite this, I’ve been struggling to find a job or even secure interviews. For the past few months, I’ve been doing odd jobs to get by, and currently I’m helping at my uncle’s eyewear store to support my family.

I’m posting here to ask for guidance, especially from professionals working in the Gulf ERP market. What skills should I focus on to become employable in ERP roles in the Gulf region? Is ERPNext in demand there? Should I strengthen accounting/domain knowledge, focus more on backend development, or aim for functional consultant roles?

I feel stuck and unsure about my next move, and I genuinely want to build a stable career in ERP. Any advice, roadmap suggestions, or referrals would mean a lot.
