Just venting
I just want to start saying how thankful for days like today that this group exist. People say a lot negative things about parenting groups and reddit but this group as helped me a lot. I have never felt attacked or shamed when I have come for advice or just to vent.
I have been crying since I dropped my child off at preschool. She said "Mommy I am sorry I make you mad" and it broke me.
I grew up in angry, high stress household. All I knew is I didn't want me child to grow up the same way, today I feel like I am failing at that.I know I have some anger issues, but the problem is my triggers are normal toddler behavior, i.e her trying to play instead of getting dress or eating breakfast when we need you get ready for school, I hate when people know what do and they simply dont do it and I hate being late for things.
I am in therapy for all this, and I was recently diagnosed with ADHD. Which my therapist said it common for women in my age group to diagnosed with after a child because and it harder to mask symtoms. I also have been taking online parenting classes. I really feel like they are both helping but slowly.
But this morning I was tired, the house is a mess, and we are running late. We also struggling with potty training regression. I don't mean to be this way and I don't want to be the angry mom.
Thanks for reading all this...
