Need help rescuing an abandoned cat
So hopefully this gets to the right people quick! I live in Riverstone Apartments in Grovetown. The people in an apartment across from us were evicted recently and they left one of their cats. We know this because after seeing the cat in the window yesterday (3/1) we called the non emergency police number who sent someone out to meet with us. The officer as well as someone on Riverstone's staff entered the apartment and confirmed the animal is in there. They called Animal Services who sent someone out. This person confirmed the animal is there but was unable to catch it so they claimed they would be back today (3/2) to set a trap and hopefully catch it to take to the shelter. I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone at Animal Services today nor anyone from Riverstone. At this point the cat has been alone in the apartment for 3 days potentially with no food or water. I had everything necessary to house the cat temporarily at the time but was told that I wasn't allowed to and Animal Services had to be the ones to take the cat. If anyone knows someone they can reach out to help this animal please do!! Every day the cat stays in there becomes more and more dangerous for the animal. Please Help
