Post ER and feeling hopeless

Need Hugs!

I (29F) and my partner (31M) have just had our first ER on friday. For context I have a diagnosis of PCOS but the reason for us going down the IVF route is to have PGT-SR as I have a balanced translocation. We have never actually "tried" naturally due to this.

My AMH is 17.7 pmol/L and I had 11 follicles, 9 eggs retrieved, all of which were mature and 8 were fertilised via ICSI (which we didn't know was the plan until it had already happened due to his sperm morphology still being at 3%). We won't have any update until Wednesday / Thursday in regards to blastocysts etc.

I suppose I do not really know why I am posting other than the fact that I feel so alone and hopeless. I understand my hormones are likely crashing after ER, but this process has already taken over two years with all the testing and investigations we have had to go through.

It feels like everyone around me is getting pregnant and moving forward while we are completely stuck. Two of our close friends announced they were pregnant on the day of and the day after our ER. I am genuinely happy for them, but I also feel utterly heartbroken about our situation and do not know how people make it through this.

I have barely been able to sleep while waiting for our blastocyst results and I cannot stop crying. My partner is the complete opposite. He is very optimistic and generally not an emotional person, so it feels as though I am the only one feeling this way.

How do you get through this stage and past feeling so hopeless? I know we are so fortunate to even be at this point, but that does not seem to stop how overwhelming it feels right now.
