Desire slowly faded.

Alimony/Child Support

About a year ago my wife of (10 years married, 15 years together) decided that she no longer wanted to be monogamous, and we tried to work out different ways to have a marriage while also letting her explore this side of herself.

After a lot of back and forth she choose that rather then stay in the marriage and make it work out, she needed space to live her life the way she wanted to. She drained our savings and bought a new house with it, and we’ve been living separately for a few months.

About 3 weeks ago she said that we are no longer romantic partners and the only relationship we should worry about is being co-parents to our daughter.

I am a 100% disabled veteran, and live on a fixed income through my benefits. I’m trying to make sense of everything, and not feel taken advantage of, seeing how she used Va benefits to get her education and career going , while I was a stay at home dad. In a short time she became the became the bread winner of the relationship by a significant margin.

I’m just curious if any of you would have information on where to start in the divorce process, has anyone heard of long term spousal support for a disabled person unable to work?
