If you had one piece of advice for someone moving here, what is it? (Read post body)

We're going to revamp the Wiki of this page soon™, and with that I think including, in perpetuity, it would be useful to include some nuggets from the community of what one thing you wish you knew before you moved.

If you would like to include where you moved from, and when, plus your nugget of advice, we'll also include non clickable user names (because you don't want people sliding into your DM's in a year, or 5) as attribution signatures.

So if you want to participate, add a comment in here.

If you can keep it short, please don't include website links, and stay within the general reddit rules that'd be great.

Thanks
