Is a bow tie too formal for an interview?

I was just wondering if people think a bow tie might be too formal for an interview. I made it myself which is a cool story I’d be happy to talk about and designed it to be oversized and chose a playful bright red, but I worry it still might come across as really uptight even though it’s not meant to be.
