Is it normal to get dummy tasks and learn on your own at the start of an internship?
Hi everyone,
I recently started a backend internship, and right now they’re giving me basic/dummy tasks like exploring the framework, creating small forms, and building simple APIs. They’re mostly thing am learning things on my own and try to build small features by myself. It feels a bit boring and not like “real” project work yet.
Is this normal at the beginning of an internship?
Do companies usually expect interns to learn independently before working on real projects?
