Post-Surgery cough!! Augh!!

Rant/Vent

I had a mild mucusy cold right before going in for surgery, but luckily it was progressed enough that I got away with not cancelling. Dealing with all that gunk immediately after surgery sucked real bad, but four days in started to feel better. Day five hits, and we have transitioned from snotty post nasal hell to persistant coughs that I didn't have immediately post surgery that I would attribute to surgery stuff. I've always been prone to airway irritation and bronchitis, and I know having the binder on has probably not helped keep my breathing apparatus from getting up in its Feelings, but man. Surgery recovery sucks enough without putting up with other issues too!! Small blessings that the coughing doesn't really hurt or pull on my incisions.

Anyone else with shitty airways wind up losing the bronchitis lottery after surgery?
