Has anyone here switched sourcing platforms as their business grew?

I’ve been running a small product-based business for a while now, and sourcing has probably been the biggest learning curve.

In the beginning I went with the most obvious option and didn’t think too much about it beyond price and minimum order quantity. Lately though, as I’m planning larger production runs, I’ve been re-evaluating where I’m finding suppliers and how I’m vetting them. I recently started testing Made-in-China.com. alongside the platform I was already using, mostly to compare how manufacturers present themselves and how communication feels during early conversations.

I’m not really looking for the cheapest quote anymore. I’m more concerned about consistency, clarity in communication, and whether I’m actually dealing directly with a factory. The cost difference isn’t huge at this stage, but one bad batch would be.

For those of you further along in your product journey, did you ever switch sourcing platforms as you scaled? Or did you stick with what worked and just refine your vetting process? I’m trying to think long term instead of just transactional.

Would really appreciate hearing how others approached this once things started getting more serious.
