19F UK please help extreme widespread chronic joint pain
19F Uk vape, very occasionally drink. I take vortioxetine and a combined oral contraceptive. I have POTS and some mental health issues. Healthy height and weight.
I have had pain in at least some of my joints (starting with my knees and neck) since I was about 10. Over years this has gotten worse I have pain in every joint in my body. Often this pain can be bad while doing nothing. I go to the gym and am reasonably active.
Have briefely seen a physio in the past. This did not help. I’ve been told I was hyper mobile.
Recently my pin is so bad it’s making me suicidal. I saw a physio at my GP who now says I’m not hyper mobile (beighton score 1/2) but has referred me to a pain management clinic. I was told this would help me get answered etc.
However upon researching. This clinic focuses on like ooo psychological ways to manage pain, maybe try acupuncture. All things I would seriously consider
BUT WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?
The only investigations I’ve had some are like blood tests. I thought this clinic would get me scans etc but appreciate not.
I want to advocate to my GP I am not happy with this referral and feel like I need more tests and there might be a logical medical reason for my pain before being sent to a clinic that works with like fibromyalgia etc.
Can someone help me know what tests etc I need to ask for?
I feel so hopelesss
