Today I have learned about swirls from handwashing
Hey folks,
I am weekend warrior, not a professional detailer, so please bear with me.
I am living in a pretty harsh environment, we have tons of road salt and dirt. My car is hand-washed every 3 months, depending on the condition. Today was perfect day for washing. I took my car to the public self-washing center. Tons of people, needed to do it fast. Did my routine: 3 washing mitts, no buckets (we can’t use any of our equipment actually). After wash, everything seemed fine and car looked clean.
Well, turns out it has tons of scratches. Like, millions of swirls all around the car. Direct sunlight exposed everything. My car is brand new (bought like a year ago), but it looks like it went to auto-tunnel wash couple of times.
Did it happen because I didn’t use any buckets or too few mitts?
I am seriuosly considering going to to tunnel since it is already scratched and it won’t take me an hour (plus extra 10-15 minutes of has-washing mitts themselves).
What do you think about this? I am loving interior cleaning tjo
