If you're running Shopify + Taboola and NOT checking your tracking like this… you're guessing

I recently recorded a full walkthrough of the Taboola (Realize Ads) dashboard.

And one thing stood out immediately:

Most ecommerce brands testing Native Ads don’t actually have clean tracking set up.

And if tracking isn’t clean, scaling is basically guesswork.

Here’s what I regularly see:

• Pixel installed but purchase event missing
• Add-to-cart not tracked properly
• Events firing in Shopify but not verified inside Taboola
• Wrong assumptions about attribution
• Campaign optimizing on weak signals

If you’re running Shopify, the setup isn’t complicated — but it has to be done correctly.

In the video I cover:

• Where to find the base pixel in Realize Ads
• How to install it properly in Shopify
• How to configure purchase conversion tracking
• How to verify events in the dashboard
• What signals Taboola actually uses for optimization

A lot of advertisers approach Native Ads like Paid Social.

That’s usually the mistake.

Native traffic behaves differently. The optimization logic is different. The scaling process is different.

But when tracking is clean, scaling to serious daily budgets becomes realistic.

If you're testing Taboola and unsure whether your tracking is 100% solid, I’d strongly recommend reviewing your setup.
