Testing Tinker2 dot com, my back-to-the-roots YouTube video search index for creative content

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a project called Tinker2, which is derived from “I tinker too”. I started this because I as frustrated with finding good learning and creator content on YouTube, like tutorials, howto’s and devlog. I sometimes post technical howto videos myself but I get very little views because the algorithm just doesn’t like my niche input for some reason. I can’t even find my own videos, even with a very specific set of search terms. That made me think: if my videos are not searchable/recommended, then there must be many other content creators that have the same problem and this implies I won’t be able to find that (possibly awesome) content either….

My site is still in the early stages and I am currently still adding content manually, however that will be automated in the future.

What it does:

* Basic keyword vector search

* Simple filtering options

* I am not storing any video content,

* I link to the YouTube videos so content creators get the views and full credit fr their work

I’m looking for some fellow “tinkerers” to take it for a spin. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the UI and if the workflow makes sense to you. Also, if you have any channels I should add to my index then let me know.

Thanks for checking it out!
