Where to find hardwood in Primal? Can't find anything about it

As the title suggests. I'm about 10 hours into Primal and I haven't seen any hardwood since meeting Sayla. I've been managing with the daily reward stash and the occasional loot off Udam warriors. Which section of the map is good for farming hardwood? I find Alder wood everywhere but zero hardwood.
