I'm so tired of the Hate...

The Death of Media Literacy is striking hard right now.

In the last few days since the second half of Season 4 dropped, I have seen So Many bad takes about Michaela and Francesca, and not a single Moderator stepping in to shut down bad faith "discussions".

So far, there has been a passionate insistence that John was "too flirty" with Michaela. Apparently the viewer has been watching too much Game of Thrones, because their evidence was one late night conversation where John "let Michaela disrespect Francesca" and how defensive he was about asking Francesca not to push any suitors on Michaela.

Another post genuinely claimed that Michaela came to visit in order to poison John so that she could steal his wife, based on a series of TikTok videos that have been hinting at murder. Just... what even?

Another post claimed that Francesca was the murderer, because she was angry that John hadn't given her a pinnacle yet and wanted to be with Michaela.

I have to ask, what show are these people even watching? Because it certainly isn't Bridgerton...
