Progression locked behind paywall

last year devs said they would look into other ways of earning credits ?

im a returning player. the gameplay loop is just as fun. but I have nothing I can unlock but weapon mods. Im earning medals but cant spend them on anything,

unless I farm easy and trivial missions and quit out of boredom. I played missions but the credits are not earned on every mission, so getting 1k would probably take me several hours by just playing -

and when I'd finally get enough credits, then Id just instantly unlock the warbond with stacked medals - again leaving me with no progression.

have there been any word on this from the dev?

games that do it better:

Arc Raiders (has done a very good post launch Cosmetic progression all free). Even Fallout 76 has a always had a free battle pass tier. All by just playing the game (not forced to play on trivial or easy mission difficulty hours on end).

i really do think Helldivers Warbond system deserves more critiscm than it gets.
