I'd like to suggest... BLIND ARCs!
I might not be the first to write this, but I did a quick research and only noticed the Scorpion idea in this thread (The Hunter, but it only works with noises, no echolocation).
So, I decided to suggest the development team consider adding "blind" ARCs with echolocation while idle (echolocation within reasonable limits, since the idea is that even a sneaking character would be noticed at point-blank range).
This could be an idea for both enclosed spaces (oh, the horror atmosphere if the ARC is dangerous enough) and large open spaces, depending on the size of the ARC. Not to mention that, depending on the ARK's threat, this can significantly impact gameplay and atmosphere (just imagine how beautifully echolocation could be depicted, sweeping across textures and raiders; wow, and the noise it makes!).
Of course, the ARK should react to any sounds emitted by a raider (including through the microphone) or the environment. And in my head he's a ground ARC fs.
How can such an ARK be made dangerous? Ideally, create just one weak spot that could be hit under certain conditions of close proximity or echolocation scanning, so that it still poses a threat to raiders.
I understand that this may be partly similar to the Snitch ARC, but imagination always opens new doors and new perspectives on existing solutions.
P.S. If someone knows, where I can submit the idea for the ARC Devs, please tell me. Really would love the Dev team to consider this (even if I imagine they already do)
