Carmen Scammed Me Out of MY EGO

I spend 5 hours to get to grade 3 and I spent another hour to get enough ego experience to get an ego. After that, I go into a permadeath server, and get downed but it never happens. I am sitting here at Hell's Door, telling me that I can't go back even though I had enough EGO Experience.
