Sexual assault mention warning

Sorry in advance if this is tmi.. just looking for advice

I(22F) and my partner(22m) have been together since November of last year. A month ago he felt safe enough to tell me the story of how he was drugged and assaulted by multiple men that he did apprenticing for at the age of 14-16. Listening to him explain everything to me was absolutely gut wrenching because nothing would have prepared me to hear what he has been through. His family pretty much did nothing when they found out and asked if they could wait to persue legal action until after the assaulters work on their home was done. Even when legal action was taken he didn’t exactly get justice for what happened. I feel blessed that he trusted me enough to tell me what happened however I don’t know what other things I can do to support him as a survivor of this.

I really would hope there are good men here who aren’t looking down on him for something that happened when he was a child. He is not weak or less of a man for feeling very real emotions considering how traumatizing these things are. I am very proud of him and everything he has accomplished while struggling with these mental challenges along with what he is continuing to achieve. I am more attentive to him when it comes to the deed and check in often to make sure he knows it’s okay to stop at any point however I think the problem is how he perceives life. He definitely could go to therapy however that isn’t p m lm bill exactly a thing that he is comfortable with yet. He struggles with not feeling valued as a person. He feels very out of control when it comes to everything in life and the events that happened double it down. To make things worse he has to take orders from a convicted predator.

If there are any male survivors out there what are some words of advice you would give to me when moving through this? Any thing you wish you had said to you or actions done that help you feel solid, anything at all to help remind you that you matter. Of course I express so to him but I can do more and I want to learn what else I can do to help support him while making him feel like the big strong man I see him as
