Delay in biopsy results

47F. An oval nodule almost 3 cm in size was found on my ultrasound, and a biopsy was done the same day. The doctor said the results would be ready on Friday or Monday. I can’t stop thinking that maybe it’s taking longer because something bad was found. Has anyone else been through this situation? Thank you so much.
